Quality Improvements in JJK Cursed Clash

Quality Improvements in JJK Cursed Clash
The Issue
We, the players of Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash, are asking Bandai Namco and Byking to address key issues that limit the game’s accessibility and long-term enjoyment. The following changes are realistic, player-friendly, and would help revive and support the community that continues to enjoy the title.
Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash is an online game inspired by the successful manga and anime Jujutsu Kaisen, created by Gege Akutami. The game was released on February 1st, 2024. While the game has seen dwindling active players on Steam, it is still enjoyed by a dedicated group across all platforms. This petition aims to highlight practical improvements that could enhance the experience for existing players and address several issues currently affecting gameplay.
Issues & Requested Changes:
1. Introduce Crossplay Across All Platforms
Right now, players on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam cannot play together. Combined with low player counts, especially on Steam, this results in long queue times, empty lobbies, and difficulty finding matches.
Crossplay would:
- Unite the entire player base
- Greatly reduce wait times
- Enable friends on different platforms to play together
- Improve matchmaking quality and game longevity
2. Stabilize Online Servers (Custom & Online Matches)
Players across most platforms frequently report server crashes and disconnects in both online matchmaking and custom lobbies. These issues disrupt the flow of the game, which is a problem especially considering the small number of matches that occur each day.
Improving server stability would:
- Provide a smoother, more reliable online experience
- Encourage players to return
- Support community events, tournaments, and casual play
3. Add Free Characters Using Existing Models (Uraume, Dagon, etc.)
The game already contains models and abilities for characters like Uraume and Dagon. Releasing a small number of these as free characters, with minor tuning, would show goodwill to the community and add fresh variety to matches without requiring new large-scale development.
Free new characters would:
- Increase replay value
- Reignite interest among lapsed players
- Showcase the rich cast of the JJK universe
4. Make CPU Characters Selectable in Custom Lobbies
As stated previously, models for certain NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) already exist in the game, such as bosses or enemies from online co-op content.
We request the ability to:
- Select these NPCs, such as Uraume, Dagon, other cursed spirits, or Mahoraga, as CPU opponents in custom lobbies
- Create custom scenarios such as 3v1 matches, boss-rush setups, or unique encounters
This feature would significantly expand replayability, community creativity, and offline/co-op enjoyment. There is an added benefit since these models already exist, and do not need to be tailored for online play in this case. This feature would also help solve the issue of not finding enough players for a full lobby, by adding a mode for less than four players.
Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most popular anime franchises in the world. Cursed Clash has strong potential, but without crossplay, stable servers, and meaningful updates, players are struggling to fully enjoy the game. These improvements would honour the loyal fans who continue to support the title and help the game reach a wider, revived audience. This will bring back players’ trust in the company, and would capitalise on the upcoming release of the third season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime.
We Request That Bandai Namco & Byking:
- Implement crossplay between all platforms
- Fix server stability issues affecting all online modes
- Release additional characters, such as Uraume and Dagon, for free using the assets already in the game, or at least have them as selectable options in custome games for increased custom-lobby enjoyment.

Together, we can show the developers that the community cares deeply about this game and wants to see it thrive. I think it's worth a shot. We have nothing to lose.
