Today i saw footage of a 17 year old female assault 4 people at a Noosa Junction bus stop. 1 of the people assulted was a bus driver, the other 3 were innocent bystanders trying to help.

The amount of assaults on our bus drivers on the coast are ever increasing. Our drivers are not safe from the amount of delinquent, disrespectful out of control youth (and adults but mainly youth) that frequent the local bus services. 

Drivers are exposed to drug and alcohol affected passengers daily.

Brawls in Maroochydore, assaults in Noosa and Nambour on a regular basis.

Youth get a slap on the wrist for sending death threats, verbally and physically assaulting our drivers.

Its time to protect them. 

Its time for harsher penalties.

Translink needs to step up and protect them.
