Put Veterans in Charge of Veterans’ Programs (VetsInCharge)

Put Veterans in Charge of Veterans’ Programs (VetsInCharge)
The Issue
✅ Put Veterans in Charge of Veterans’ Programs
To:
President of the United States
Congress
Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs
House Committee on Veterans Affairs
Department of Veterans Affairs
Other relevant federal and state officials responsible for veterans programs
Goal:
Ensure all veteran-related programs, services, and organizations are managed and led exclusively by honorable veterans, and that Congress and other decision-makers are held accountable.
Why it matters:
Veterans have served our country with honor, integrity, and sacrifice. They understand the challenges, the needs, and the struggles of life after service better than anyone. Yet today, so many veterans remain unemployed, homeless, or overlooked, while outsiders make critical decisions about programs designed for heroes.
This is wrong. Programs for veterans must be run by veterans. They have the experience, the integrity, and the leadership our heroes deserve. No one else is qualified to make these decisions.
By signing this petition, you are demanding that:
All veteran-related organizations, programs, and initiatives be led by honorable veterans.
Congress, the Senate, and other relevant authorities ensure strict oversight and accountability for all veterans programs.
Priority be given to hiring veterans for any position that serves veterans.
Veterans’ voices and experience be at the center of every policy and decision affecting them.
Homeless veterans be provided safe housing, whether in available government buildings or other suitable accommodations, with a stipend for meals, clothing, and basic necessities.
Veterans ready to return to work be offered meaningful employment opportunities that honor their skills and service.
Our veterans fought for our country, now it’s time we fight for them. Sign today and stand with those who have given everything to protect our freedoms.
