In Nigeria , the Declaration on the Rights of Disabled Persons adopted on the 09 December 1975 has been domesticated into the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and it now takes the name of The ‘Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities (Prohibition) Act, 2018 . 

But honestly if we really look at the real life window the case isn’t as it is supposed to be after the domestication of these rights. Disabled persons/individuals in Nigeria can’t be said to really be enjoying the privileges that come with these rights in their society , the main reason being that the basic needs that a disabled persons should have in their Society is not secured and hence the law is available and in no way wrong but the same law has done it made no difference to the lives of these persons.
