I love street animals. Especially dogs and cats. A few weeks ago, a puppy just a few weeks old, was driven over by a car. My sister witnessed it when she was playing outside. A car came while the puppy was sleeping on the road, the driver blew the horn once but the puppy didn't get up so the drove over it. I, along with my father took it to a very but couldn't do much to save it. Why are these street animals considered important? Why are they treated like this? They are the first ones to have the right to move on the streets before us. Why are they being ignored? Cows are prayed in Hindu culture and it is considered illegal to kill them. Dog was also one of the animals who was Savari or rather vahan of Lord Shiva as the Mahabharata says. It is important to protect these animals because of whome we are able to have a balanced nature. I get it. We have clinics and government facilities for them. But the people responsible to look after the injured animals are never available when in need.
