The issue

Water pollution is a big current issue which is affecting both animals and the public health. If this issue continues many people will develop cancer from the waste and the population for certain animal species will rapidly go down. We need to start more websites like these to give the people more information on how their actions put a big issue into the world that could also affect their health.

Animals  are mostly affected by this issue since animals may get stuck or accidentaly eat the rubbish and it is very dangerous and difficult to swim in an ocean full of rubbish which puts an effect on their health. The main products that are causing the pollution in our oceans is because of people leaving plastic waste, agricultural chemical runoff, and uncleaned waste water. This issue started during the industrial revolution in the late 18th and 19th centuries and has continued on to this day which is why we need to put an ending to this pollution.

“No water, no life. No blue, no green” - Dr Sylvia Earle, This is a quote from Dr Sylvia Earle who is a world-renowned American marine biologist, oceanographer, and explorer explaining how water is a essential part to the earth and animals habitat. By her saying “No water, no life. No blue, no green” it expresses how without the clean ocean we wouldn't have a clean community and well-being.

We need to bring more awareness to this big worldwide issue since there are many long term and short-term effects that come along with water pollution that includes the short term effects of Rapid health crisis for humans, and sudden ecological damage brought to aquatic environments. These may be short term effects but if we don't put a stop to this issue the effects will become worse and put an effect on the public's health and animal rates. And the long term effects of  threats to the public's health, disrupt local economies through the heavy filtration expenses. When certain waste gets brought into the oceans over time, inhaling this waste can cause cancer. And lastly the more waste being brought into our oceans can cause some animals to become extinct.

In conclusion, ocean pollution has become a huge issue for the world that brings long term and short term effects to animals and the public's health. If we don't bring more awareness to these issues they will continue to grow until the problem is too big to solve. To help bring more awareness please sign this position to bring more people together to stop this issue.
