Speak to the Commission: https://mobilize.us/s/cBntVQ
Election workers see first hand the voter frustration and confusion every Election Day in our county when an unnecessary rule sends 10-15% of voters -- thousands of people -- racing around to figure out where to vote.
Election judges and clerks are on the front lines of this chaos. They have to tell stressed out voters to go to someplace else to vote, even if it's miles away and they can't get there before 7 pm.
As a result, a group of election judges and clerks has organized this petition drive for countywide Election Day voting to solve this problem. Election judges and clerks from all over the county are also are showing up to tell the Denton County Commission in person that we need Vote Centers on Election Day, just like 99 other Texas counties.
Please join them in speaking up at the County Commission meeting during the Public Comment period at 9 am on any Tuesday morning.
Sign up to speak on Mobilize, then you’ll receive an email with complete instructions on how to get there and what to say. There are even videos of other voters speaking to the commissioners so you can see how others are doing it!
Your voice will be powerful. The commissioners will listen to you and you will be heard.
