Protect Women’s Lives: Clarify Abortion Exceptions Now
The Issue
Florida’s abortion laws are putting women’s lives at risk — and even our elected officials aren’t immune.
Rep. Kat Cammack recently shared her terrifying experience with an ectopic pregnancy that doctors hesitated to treat because of Florida’s six-week abortion ban. Though the law technically allows exceptions for life-threatening situations, vague language and fear of prosecution led to dangerous delays in her care.
This isn’t just politics. It’s personal. And it’s happening to more than just one woman. Medical emergencies like ectopic pregnancies can’t wait for a legal review. Doctors need clear guidance, not fear. Patients need urgent care, not red tape.
We’re calling on Florida lawmakers to immediately clarify the state’s abortion laws — especially the exceptions — to ensure no woman is denied the care she needs to survive. That means legally protecting emergency procedures and making sure medical professionals aren’t punished for doing their job.
No one should have to suffer or risk their life because of legislative confusion. It's time to put women’s health and safety first. Sign to demand urgent action before more lives are put in danger.
