Protect the hummingbirds of New Brunswick from glyphosate spraying now.

The Issue

Help save the hundreds of Ruby throated hummingbirds that call New Brunswick home from cancer causing Glyphosate. I have cared for hundreds of Ruby throated hummingbirds for 20 years at my home In Albert County. They come every summer to breed and thrive until their fall migration into the U.S. Rubies come back to their place of birth and they survive for 5-10 years. This area in Albert county is a prime breeding location for this protected species. This species is named in the Canadian migratory bird protection act of 1994. www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/services/migratory-birds-legal-protection/convention-act-regulations.html

It states that the species nesting areas and habitat should be protected while visiting here in our province ( of course HUMANS  are the primary species affected  by this poison 🥰 but, at this point…. hummers have a law that we don’t seam to have yet *)

I am an hunter, hummingbird care taker, preschool educator, photographer and videographer. I have a passion for all things nature .The photo above is a beautiful female Ruby throated hummingbird. I took that photo in my backyard❤️.
In an area  across from my home( located in southern New Brunswick) they are planning to spray a toxic substance used in forestry, Glyphosate. It will be happening very soon, before the fall. Can you sign this petition ,so I can bring this matter forward.I hope to help not just my birds but all those affected in Albert county, and all of NB.There are so many areas set to be affected by this toxin this summer alone.

I have contacted local news, so now let’s all give them something newsworthy! I appreciate your time and so do the hummingbirds that I call mine🥰.I have always loved sharing them with you.I have shared my hummer content on many forms of social media to share the “rubies” amazing qualities. My posts on tiktok under tanhorae and Fb page have allowed many people, from so many places to see the interactions that happen in a large shimmer(group) of Hummingbirds. Summer is magical here in  what I call “Hummingbird valley “. I’d like every summer going forward  to be filled with the same sounds of these AMAZING birds❤️

The above link includes a ready made letter to the MLAs as well information on the use of glyphosate in New Brunswick. It is becoming very clear that the politicians are who need to speak to to change this. We need to raise our voices.

Research from 2021 In Toronto with Hummingbirds..very concerning https://beyondpesticides.org/dailynewsblog/2021/02/hummingbirds-are-being-harmed-by-the-same-pesticides-killing-off-bees-butterflies-and-other-pollinators/?fbclid=IwY2xjawEpsulleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHV17Zyd_CUfiAefpJODTewqWaROUgb4ahmV25frEU43jw_hTAbwUQE22bw_aem_iUciGjXu44jtPReHgZcYvA

I hope we can save these precious feisty birds.

I cannot possibly thank you all enough .🥰 Tanya
