Protect the History - Keep the Lewis Army Museum Open.

Protect the History - Keep the Lewis Army Museum Open.
The Issue
The Lewis Army Museum at Joint Base Lewis-McChord is a one-of-a-kind institution. It’s the only certified U.S. Army museum on the West Coast and plays a vital role in preserving the military heritage of Washington and the Pacific Northwest.
For decades, this museum has educated the public, honored veterans, and connected visitors to the Army’s history through exhibits, artifacts, and community programs. It’s not just a building — it’s a cultural and educational resource that helps tell the story of our region's role in national defense.
Now, this important institution is at risk of closure.
Losing the Lewis Army Museum would mean losing access to irreplaceable stories, collections, and educational opportunities. Instead of shutting it down, we should be working together to support and sustain it through partnerships, funding, and community engagement.
Sign this petition to show your support for keeping the Lewis Army Museum open. Together, we can preserve this critical piece of Washington’s military and cultural legacy.
Out of respect for federal employment guidelines, paid staff at the Lewis Army Museum are not participating in this petition. This is a volunteer-led effort by community members who support the museum’s mission.
