حماية كرامة وحقوق المواطنين المصريين في سيدني

نحن المواطنين المصريين والمتضامنين الموقّعين أدناه، نعلن انضمامنا رسميًا وتأييدنا للبلاغ المقدَّم إلى القنصلية العامة لجمهورية مصر العربية في سيدني، بشأن ما يُزعم من ممارسات تمييزية ضد المصريين من قِبل الأسقف دانييل، أسقف إيبارشية سيدني للأقباط الأرثوذكس، وبعض أتباعه.

وقد أفاد أفراد من الجالية بتعرضهم لاعتداءات لفظية وعبارات تشهيرية واعتداءات جسدية وتهديدات وترهيب، فضلًا عن منشورات مسيئة يُزعم أنها تحرّض على العداء ضد المصريين.

إن كرامة المواطن المصري في الخارج جزء لا يتجزأ من كرامة الدولة المصرية. ولا يجوز إهانة أي مصري أو استهدافه بسبب جنسيته، بصرف النظر عن هوية من يُزعم ارتكابه لهذه الأفعال أو منصبه أو صفته الدينية.

وعليه، فإننا نلتمس بكل احترام من القنصلية العامة لجمهورية مصر العربية في سيدني ووزارة الخارجية المصرية ما يلي:

1. ضم أسماء الموقّعين رسميًا إلى البلاغ؛

2. ضمان فحص الادعاءات بصورة عادلة ومحايدة؛

3. إحالة المسائل ذات الصلة إلى الجهات المختصة؛

4. اتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة لحماية المواطنين المصريين والحفاظ على سلامة ووحدة الجالية المصرية في سيدني.

لا تفترض هذه العريضة ثبوت الادعاءات، وإنما تطالب بالتعامل مع البلاغ بجدية، والاستماع إلى أفراد الجالية المتضررين وتوفير الحماية لهم، وضمان بحث المسائل المثارة بصورة عادلة وشفافة.

Protect the Dignity and Rights of Egyptian Citizens in Sydney

We, the undersigned Egyptian citizens and supporters, formally join and support the complaint submitted to the Egyptian Consulate-General in Sydney concerning alleged discrimination against Egyptians by Bishop Daniel, Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Sydney, and some of his followers.

Community members have reported alleged verbal abuse, defamatory statements, physical assaults, threats, intimidation and offensive publications inciting hostility against Egyptians.

The dignity of Egyptian citizens abroad is inseparable from the dignity of the Egyptian State. No Egyptian should be humiliated or targeted because of their nationality, regardless of the identity, position or religious status of those allegedly responsible.

We respectfully call upon the Egyptian Consulate-General in Sydney and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to:

1. Formally include the signatories in the complaint;
2. Ensure the allegations are fairly and impartially examined;
3. Refer relevant matters to the appropriate authorities; and
4. Take appropriate action to protect Egyptian citizens and preserve the safety and unity of the Egyptian community in Sydney.

This petition does not presume that the allegations have been proven. It asks that the complaint be taken seriously, affected community members be heard and protected, and the matters raised receive a fair and transparent response.
