Protect the Corporation for Public Broadcasting from the Bill “No Propaganda Act”

Protect the Corporation for Public Broadcasting from the Bill “No Propaganda Act”
The Issue
Attention all American communities and local Public Media. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB; stylized as cpb) is an American publicly funded non-profit corporation, created in 1967 to promote and help support public broadcasting. Until now. In 2025, the fight to protect the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) from a significant threat took on a personal note. This threat came in the form of an act introduced by the right-wing Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chairman Brendan Carr, and supportive U.S. House of Representative from New York Claudia Tenney, U.S. House of Representative from Georgia Marjorie Taylor Greene, U.S. Senator from Utah Mike Lee, U.S. Republican Senator from Louisiana John Kennedy, Wyoming’s Republican senator majority whip John Barraso, and U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania Scott Perry - the bill “No Propaganda Act”, Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and Project 2025 agenda. This act threatens the essence of free and unbiased broadcasting, a principle fortified by organizations like the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR) across the country. As a proud supporter of these institutions, I was alarmed when I learned of the plans to defund them on Thursday March 6, 2025.
Engaged in this fight, I also demand protection for “Protect My Public Media,” an important initiative that stands as a bulwark against biased influencers, such as the Media Research Center (MRC), America’s Conservative Media Watchdog. CPB, PBS, and NPR stand as leading sources of educational and unbiased media. Their potential defunding holds severe implications for the quality and diversity of American public discourse, which could lead to a detrimental narrowing of information sources.
This is a call for everyone who shares this concern: We must act now. Let's urge our lawmakers to reject the “No Propaganda Act” and to protect public broadcasting. Stand for media pluralism, stand for unbiased information, stand for our right to stay informed. Please sign this petition and support our cause to protect the Corporation for Public Broadcasting across the country against president Donald J. Trump. Thank you very much, god bless and defend Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB).
