Because

1. the 34 year old Mirambika Free Progress School is the only free progress integral education school in north India practicing the best of ancient Indian education traditions synthesized by Sri Aurobindo and his spiritual collaborator the Mother Mirra Alfassa, to encourage free thinking and self expression in children;

2. syllabus-less free progress integral education needs an ecosystem (comprising building, space & facilities) that enables learning even without books, tests & exams, and only through observation, experiment, discovery, exploration & meditation. The pre April 14th 2015 ecosystem was blessed by the Mother;

3. creative & artistic children find it very difficult to realize their potential in the modern education system which has become completely memory, competition & material success driven;

4. Mirambika teachers do not work for money and are assisted by volunteer parents in helping the children learn;

5. Mirambika has more girls than boys in each class and it does not engage in gender based or other discrimination in any physical, intellectual or spiritual activity; and

6. there are many engineering colleges producing 1000s of engineers competing for ever shrinking employment opportunities but just one Mirambika which nurtures children with different talents including engineering, music, dance, pottery, sports, art and craft - all with capacity for self-employment and entrepreneurship.
