Our local library in Llandudno is an invaluable resource for residents of all ages. It provides a sanctuary for those who seek knowledge, fosters a love for reading among our youngsters, while also offering critical support for elderly citizens. It's located in our town centre, which helps encourage footfall to our shops, cafes and restaurants.

The council, however, is considering moving it to the outskirts of town, a decision that may put the library out of reach for many. The noisy Venue Cymru is hardly a calming quiet space. 

Aside from the wealth of books, the library also holds numerous community activities that promote social interaction. Libraries play a vital role in community cohesion and promoting well-being. Overturning this decision will not only preserve our access to literature and research in a quiet place in a beautiful calming building to read but also safeguard the social benefits brought by the library's presence in the town centre.

Every signature on this petition sends a strong message to the council that our library needs to stay where it is, at the heart of our community, in Mostyn Street where it belongs. Please help us keep this beloved resource in the centre of Llandudno where everyone can easily access it. It's part of our heritage, gifted to the town.
