I am a long-term tenant in a council house. I have never been financially able to purchase my property until recently. Now, just as I am envisioning owning my home, I am concerned due to the Labour Party planning to reduce the Right to Buy discount for tenants like me.

Over the time, countless individuals and families have benefited, transforming from tenants to homeowners, thanks to this scheme. It provides us with a sense of security, and it's a stepping stone to financial autonomy. The proposed cuts by the Labour Party could make homeownership unattainable for many of us.

It is crucial to uphold the Right to Buy scheme as it stands, without slashing the discounts, which have been instrumental in helping people like myself to buy their homes.
