Prevent Restructuring and Job Losses at BIMM Dublin

The Issue

As a student invested in the community of BIMM Dublin, I am alarmed by the proposed restructuring plan that threatens our institution. This plan encompasses not only structural changes but also rumoured wage reductions and job cuts. Our lecturers, the heart and soul of our education and the music industry, are at risk of losing jobs and for students to lose valuable mentors

BIMM Dublin is renowned for its intimate teaching environment and hands-on lecturers, many of whom have real-world professional experience. This restructuring could see many of the lecturers layed off. This would inevitably lead to higher student-teacher ratios, threatening the quality of education students.

Additionally, wage cuts pertain to those who are the pillars of our education. These proposed cuts could result in losing not just teachers but role models, mentors, and industry connections. It threatens our ability to fully engage with and learn from our lecturers.

In conclusion, the proposed restructuring of BIMM Dublin, accompanied by wage and job cuts, pose a grave threat to the quality of education and the exceptional learning environment we currently value.

We urge students, faculty, alumni, music industry professionals, and all those who value high-quality music education to sign our petition. Stop the restructuring of BIMM Dublin and help us protect our lecturers' careers and the quality of our education.
