Prevent Proxy Interviews and fake experience candidates

The Issue

A candidate usually has to go through multiple tests before a company is 100% sure about their calibre, talents, and willingness to work in the company. Only the candidate who fit the company's requirements are able to make it through. Such high competitiveness often coaxes the candidates to resort to illegal methods to pass the tests.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, companies had to switch to online interviews, and there was a sudden boom in the employment opportunities in the software industry. Aspirants with the most basic educational qualifications were able to secure jobs by submitting false documents and lying about their experience.

Along with fake certificates, there is another major problem is creating headache to the IT.

During virtual interviews for high-profile jobs, investigators discovered a few candidates lip syncing (moving their lips while someone else is answering the questions). They named it as "Proxy Interviews".

Sometimes, the person itself different. Actual candidate is not even sitting before the interviewer.

The demand for proxy interviews has increased significantly in last couple of years. Agencies or Individual groups which provide this service earn up to Rs 100,000 to Rs 200,000 per interview. This industry is run with the help of experts from multiple software courses. These organisations also provide the candidates with false documents proving their exceptional experience in the field and salary slips.

They providing further services too by doing the work instead of these fake candidates. It is called "Job Support".

They even publicly advertising this in facebook telegram channels.

As a technical person who is working in the IT for 10 years, I'm too concerned about the future.

Even I found a lot of people while they mal-practicing their technical discussions. If the same candidate got selected for the job, given with some responsibilities and if he commits any mistake in his work, What will happen? The people who are genuinely working for the same project may lose their job and the company may lose their project from the client. This is not just about money or reputation of a company but the future of the people who are real and dependent on their jobs. This isn't simple to think. This is something which may lead to spoil the industry. This should be stopped.

As per the articles that found in linked in and in other social media, It is evident that people in my state (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh ) are more involved in this crime.

So, I request the governments of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states to build a team to investigate and come with a solution to prevent this.
