The Issue

Twelve brave veterans, who once stood on the frontlines defending our freedom, now face an alarming threat back home: eviction. Despite their sacrifices, they have been handed eviction notices, forcing them to vacate their homes by September without explanation. It's appalling to witness such disregard for the individuals who have sacrificed both physically and mentally for our nation.

These veterans bear the invisible scars of war, suffering from PTSD—a condition that makes daily life a relentless battle. Considering the impactful contributions they've made to preserve our safety and interests, shouldn't ensuring their safety and stability be our priority?

In 2018, the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans reported that former servicemen and women represent 11% of the homeless population in the United kingdom .This statistic is not just a number; it's a manifestation of negligence and a call to action. These individuals have given so much. It's time to give back.

We urge the local council and housing authorities to intervene and halt these evictions immediately. Rather than casting these heroes aside, let us provide them the support and care they have rightfully earned.
