The Issue

Clwb Ruperra, a beloved institution located in the heart of Trethomas, South Wales. It plays a crucial role in fostering local culture, providing a unique space for socialising and entertainment,  we provide a space for an over 50s club which is thriving and bringing people together,  we also provide sponsorships to many youngsters and local sports teams. It is the only pub in the village. Recently, there have been proposals to change the club's licensing times, due to noise complaints before 11pm, these of which threatens to disrupt its operation and diminish its impact on the community.

For many residents, Clwb Ruperra is more than just a venue; it is a cultural landmark that contributes significantly to the local economy and social fabric. The proposed changes in licensing hours could lead to reduced foot fall and potentially leading to job losses.

Statistics from the Welsh Government show that community venues like Clwb Ruperra play a vital role in reducing social isolation and boosting community well-being. It is imperative to preserve the integrity of such venues to ensure continued benefits for the local populace.

We call on the relevant authorities and stakeholders to reconsider this proposal and ensure that Clwb Ruperra retains its existing licensing times. Sign this petition to support a pivotal community establishment and safeguard the vibrant culture . Your signature can make a difference and help maintain the lively spirit that Clwb Ruperra brings to our community. Please add your name to ensure our voices are heard.
