Puppy mills strictly care about profits alone. They don't care about the health and well-being of the mothers. They are forced to live in absolutely deplorable conditions and extremely confined cages, so small that they cannot even fully stand up or turn around. In most cases the bacteria from the accumulated urine and feces from the unclean cages cause the animal's appendages to literally waste away, leaving them unable to move! This causes muscle atrophy and blood circulation problems in addition to numerous other debilitating conditions and diseases which cause severe illness and death. The dead animals are callously disposed of in dumpsters and the next animal immediately takes her place.

      The fact that this disgusting animal slave trade is allowed to continue is reprehensible and MUST be stopped at once! People who shop for puppies at pet stores are most likely unaware of the manner in which the puppies are acquired by these pet stores. Surely once they are fully informed, most of the general populace would stop shopping and utilizing the option to open their homes and their hearts to the thousands of precious pets that get dumped in shelters every day! 

      You can make a difference for these innocent creatures! They have no voice! They need to be heard! Please! We implore you to immediately pass a law making it a highly punishable crime for these cold-hearted breeders to continue this sickening practice! More punishable than a mere animal cruelty charge. After all, children are taken away from caregivers that live in horrible conditions. Why should animals be allowed to live that way? The very simple answer to that question is: They shouldn't!
