The taxes implemented between trading cryptocurrency to cryptocurrency are a hot topic and as of now, the tax laws in place are unfair and unjust. It is completely fair to tax when cashing out cryptocurrency to USD and other Fiat currency, but not on trades in a virtual exchange between coins. The IRS taxes cryptoCURRENCY as property, instead of currency, which leads to capital gains taxes which should not apply for currencies. We pay enough in taxes, this is not something we should be taxed on.
