Animals are different from us, but that doesn’t mean they are inferior. Every day, millions of animals are put on leashes or put in harsh conditions. It doesn’t matter if they are wild or domesticated, this NEEDS TO STOP.

My name is Violet Holtz, and my family has a dog named Cookie. Already you should see a problem with this “My family HAS a dog.” This is basically slavery, Animals are referred to as property and are regarded as lesser beings. 

The other night, I was camping, and a raccoon came walking in, Immediately the humans started yelling at it, even going so far as to say “I’ll sic the dog on you”, and the raccoon was so scared that it hid up a tree.

This is an example of animal abuse in the wild, but what about domesticated animals? Lots of animals are put on leashes, and put in bowls, and shut inside. This needs to change, but animals are also put into “kill shelters”, where they are killed if they are not wanted by humans.

My friend had a dog named Felix once. When Felix bit his sister, he “had to be” put to death. Animals are being fatally punished for being wild, which they SHOULD be. 

I’m not asking for any donations, but it would be great if you could hand out flyers and put up posters. Spread awareness about this issue.
