Save the Wolves from Extinction

Save the Wolves from Extinction
The Issue
People are killing wolves and it is just wrong. They are killing wolves that already have a small population in places such as Idaho, where they are letting people kill 90% of the wolf population. Idaho was able to make this rule because in November of 2020 the Trump administration removed wolves from the Endangered Species list. In Wisconsin they killed 216 wolves in less than three days! This was made even worse because they did it in the middle of their breeding season where 50% of the wolves killed were pregnant females or females with nursing pups.
Also people hunt wolves with inhumane practices. Most wolf hunting in Wisconsin is used with dog tracking. It is wrong to have a dog tear apart another creature, such as a wolf. They also use leg traps on wolves which can even break the wolves' leg if it tries to escape. People say they do this to protect livestock, but wolves wouldn't hurt the livestock if people didn't keep taking over their territory.
Native Americans find the wolf to be a sacred animal. Native Americans that share land with Wisconsin are upset because Wisconsin passed their quota and the tribes' quota, killing their sacred animal could get close to extinct again. Some hunters kill wolves for money. Places in Idaho even set bounties for dead wolves at $2,500 per wolf. That is a lot of money. The pelts can also go for hundreds of dollars! People are killing wolves for for money and sport, not necessity, and this needs to be stopped!
I am 11 years old and I am passionate about saving the wolves. Let's not undo the progress that was made under the Endangered Species Act. Please join me in letting our representatives know what a vital part of the eco system these magnificent creatures are, and they need to be protected!
