Place an Indefinite Ban on All Licensed and Non-licensed Animal Breeders

Over 4 million animals are euthanized in shelters each year, mainly due to over-population. The math is simple: there are too many animals and not enough adopters, so why is it that we are continuing to allow breeders to breed?  The arguement from those that want a purebread is extremely weak as there are purebread animals in shelters nation-wide.

As a nation, we have the power to decrease the number of animals euthanized drastically, what are we waiting for?

Letter to
U.S. House of Representatives
U.S. Senate
President of the United States
I am writing to you to ask of your support and immediate action in Placing an Indefinite Ban on All Licensed and Non-licensed Animal Breeders. Your immediate support and actions will help reduce the number of animals that are euthanized at shelters nation-wide each year. Animal shelters across the United States annually euthanize over 4 million animals, mostly due to over-population. The math is quite simple: too many animals and not enough adopters.

Licensed and Non-licensed animal breeders are directly and actively contributing to the over-population and unnecessary euthanasia of animals in shelters. Over 4 million furry lives are terminated each year, so why would breeders knowingly continue to create more life? Their arguement of breeding purebred animals is weak as there are purebred animals currently available in shelters nation-wide.

I ask that you place an Indefinite Ban on All Licensed and Non-licensed Animals Breeders, effective immediately and take legal action against those that do not abide. I would be happy to actively assist in any form necessary to see that we reduce or completely eliminate the number of animals euthanized.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
