End the mistreatment of immigrants in America
The Issue
My name is Tony, I am here typing this petition because to me it seems that our government is not showing the mutual respect to the immigrants like they should be.
A big issue that is occurring recently is that ICE agents who catch immigrants keep there citizen children in cages to separate them from there families. I think the immigrant parents should be given the choice to either bring there child back to there country and lose U.S citizenship or have a relative or family member adopt that child.
I also feel that the wall is going to create problems for families and the economy for an example, in 2008 there was a flash flood in Arizona and a five mile long segment of 15 ft tall wire mesh fence that trapped debris causing millions of dollars in property damage. Therefore this is a problem for the economy by millions.
Therefore another ICE problem is that immigrants are scared to go out because of the brutally beatings to immigrants... "On April 4, the two immigrants who were beaten filed a $70 million lawsuit against Riverside county, and were offered a place to stay by actor Marlon Brando. The lawyer for one of the immigrants said that if the claim was rejected, he would file suit in federal court alleging violations of the United Nations' conventions against torture".https://migration.ucdavis.edu/mn/more.php?id=939
I feel that ICE agents should be wearing body cameras whenever they handle a immigrant and I feel that they should minorly injure them if they are not cooperating with the agents.
Final but not last recently our President Donald Trump has suspended green cards for immigrants so the immigrants can be denied from hospitals if contaminated with the Covid-19 virus.I think our President should try to help test everyone and get everyone the supplies they need in the U.S to stop the spread quickly as possible.
In conclusion, there are ways to still obey the law but in a more civil matter everyone should be respected as the way we would want to be respected as Americans.
