Did you know it is legal in most states for a minor to possess a firearm? Meaning your 3 year old can legally handle your firearm if given permission. This also means your 15 year old can legally possess the firearm they take to school. 

Maybe if all of this was illegal, maybe then parents would think twice about buying their child a gun for Christmas. Maybe they would teach their children how to hunt with a bow and arrow instead of a rifle. This is not to say a law change would prevent any and all shootings by minors, but I guarantee you it would deter some parents from being so careless with their firearms if they knew they would go to jail for letting their child possess a firearm.

The government is not making any changes and unless WE make these changes, we will continue to fail our children. WE are who they look to for protection and we are not protecting them.

I need your help.. no, scratch that.. OUR CHILDREN need your help in signing this petition so they can live to graduate high school. No child should ever have to walk into school wondering if they’re going to make it out alive. In the same respect no parent should ever have to wonder if they’re going to see their child for the last time while sending them off to school.

PLEASE make it illegal in ALL states for a minor to possess a firearm! �� We cannot let our children down any longer. There is no more time for debate. Change needs to come right NOW.
