The Issue
In honor of Shrek's 20th anniversary, I'm calling on our President Joe Biden and congress to help make April 22 officially become National Shrek day. April 22, 2001 marked the day when Shrek was first introduced to the world, and as of today Shrek still stands as a worldwide icon. Shrek not only is an icon, but a God to the whole world and should be celebrated for his contributions to the world. A National Shrek day is long overdue, and it's about time he gets a holiday of his own.
