                             GLOBAL WARMING IMPACTS US ALL!

I believe we can help mitigate climate change by being more sustainable by conserving nature, educating ourselves, and then spreading awareness by teaching others what we have learned. 

Towards the fight against climate change, we are globally developing policies, improving energy efficiency; we are working with renewables. We are building smart cities, and we continue to grow in technology. However, all the success is useless if we overconsume energy. Study shows that as technology improvements grow people are consuming more energy than before. This is called the rebound effect, where consumption increases with success. We must all realize that we need energy for everything we do. The food we eat, the clothes we wear, the lights we use, the computers, all our devices, and everything we can imagine requires energy," AND ENERGY COMES FROM BURNING FOSSIL FUELS! "

Therefore BEHAVIORAL CHANGE is crucial while we improve energy efficiency and conserve nature. The way to a sustainable life is through behavioural changes, which can only happen if we and our coming generations know about the anthropogenic activities causing climate change, increasing carbon emissions,  rising sea levels, pollution and many other irreversible changes. 

We must teach young children and youth in schools to ensure that coming generations have the behavioural changes implemented in them through education and learning. The idea is to nurture these young children through education to develop conservational behaviours that help mitigate climate change and benefit energy efficiency improvements and technological advancements. 

This petition is requesting the department of education and The president of the United States of America to make Climate Change/Global warming a mandatory subject/course in all schools. Students from ages 4-16 must have at least one minimum class a week regarding the said subject.

Let's not wait for social media to teach our children about the climate crisis and its solutions!

Lets us not wait for Colleges and Universities to teach our children about Climate crises and climate solutions!

Let us teach our children NOW about climate problems and its solutions from a young age, so climate mitigation and sustainable living is the only way of living that they know!
