Hello my name is jennyfer Rivera and I live in Irvington nj, I’m a single mom of 4 beautiful boys , on December 16 2021 I got the most devastating phone call from my 5 year olds best friend mom. She told me that her daughter told her something disturbing so she put her daughter on the phone to tell me that my 5 year old, Jayden, was grabbed by his teacher and slammed on the floor like a grown man and he was crying !!! Once I confirmed with my son he said she body slammed, she also previously bent his pinky’s back and smacked his hand. My son suffered a contusion and has emotional trauma. I live in Irvington NJ and I’ve done contacted the school and the board of Ed also a lawyer, by writing you I hope you can use your powerful platform to help stop the abuse in our schools !!! It’s not just about my son , it’s about all the kids who go to school and deal with mean teachers and physical abuse!!! School is supposed to be a safe haven, a fun learning experience!!! A teacher is supposed to be a second mom/dad to these kids because I believe it takes a village to raise children!!! I really hope you come across my son’s story because if enough people share my sons story we can change the system on how they decide who works with our children !!! They need mental health screens done, an evaluation , something!!! If we don’t make it stop now when will it? And how many more times do it have to happen before change happens??
