Ben Shapiro for Supreme Court

Ben Shapiro for Supreme Court
The Issue
The Supreme Court of the United States(SCOTUS), as the highest federal court, is responsible for making justice more than a dream. SCOTUS has even de facto made law with its decisions in cases like Roe vs Wade, Meyer vs Nebraska, and Brown v. Board of Education. Therefore, it is necessary that Supreme Court justices understand and respect the law and the constitution in order to make justice.
With the passing of justice Antonin Scalia, the stability and integrity of the SCOTUS have been undermined. Nominated by Ronald Reagan, he served a little under thirty years. Known as an originalist and a textualist, Scalia faithfully defended Constitutional principles in spite of tremendous backlash. Now that he is gone, the conservative wing of the supreme court that kept the balance more or less intact is in severe danger.
I propose that the vacancy should be filled by an equally fervent defendant of the Constitution: Ben Shapiro. Ben Shapiro is a nationally syndicated columnist and attorney. He graduated summa cum laude from UCLA in 2004, and then cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2007, proving himself to have a good understanding of American Law and Culture. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he had exposure to both sides of the political spectrum, providing him with the necessary experience to make unbiased decisions.
Ben Shapiro’s ability to postulate non-traditional secular arguments and rationally assess any political situation regardless of popular opinion makes him an even better candidate for the position. Although not very well-known at the time, he bravely debated big show hosts like Piers Morgan on their own turf and won. His reliance on facts and statistics rather than on ideological agendas has made him a formidable debater.
Ben Shapiro is the perfect candidate for the Supreme Court vacancy. Although he is not popular with Hollywood or NY Times, we the people can make justice and equality be a reality. After all, the government should be for the people, by the people, and not for anyone else.
