On 20 April 2010 six U.S veterans chained themselves to the White House fence in a public act meant to push President Obama to include the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" in his submission of the Defense Authorization Budget. When they were arrested one of the protestors, Autumn Sandeen, a self described "strong, confident transgender woman" was subjected to humiliating, unprofessional and out right dehumanizing treatment at the hand of U.S. Marshals and other government representatives.

We need to let the President know that this is not the way to treat any human being, any veteran in uniform, trans or otherwise.
