To President Elect Donald Trump,

My name is Robert, i am disabled suffering from multiple physical and mental health conditions necessitating me needing SSDi, Medicare, and Medicaid to mange my health conditions, My fiance is a healthcare worker who's industry is heavily supported by Medicare and Medicaid spending. we are worried about the future of our family if the Republican Congress led by Paul Ryan gets the deep entitlement cuts they are asking for. this has the potential to impact many who rely on these programs for either their employment in the case of healthcare professionals and those who directly rely on these modest benefits to just survive as is in the case of the permanently disabled or retirees.

President Elect Donald Trump,

 We the people ask that you keep your campaign promises of no cuts or changes to social security, medicare, and medicaid.

We also ask that you not only keep your campaign promises but strengthen the programs. some of the available options are for medicare by allowing the program to negotiate with pharmaceutical companies on drug pricing and fostering competition in the pharmaceutical industry.

For Social Security simply scrapping the FICA cap with no program changes will make the program solvent for decades to come.

for medicaid leaving the program as is and possibly allowing the states more latitude in how to spend funding for healthcare giving bonuses for lowering per capita costs.

right now medicaid and medicare are the most popular and efficient type of insurance in the United States.

in addition to the above, bringing back good paying jobs and training uneducated workers to work those good paying jobs will also help to lower the deficit and make these programs more solvent.

Gutting these programs could have disastrous long term economic effects and the potential to doom millions who depend on these programs to a life of extreme poverty and extremely poor healthcare and possible condemnation to death due to an inability to afford proper healthcare.

Please consider the American people (many who are your constituents) when deciding how to proceed on this topic.

Please keep in mind the millions of job losses that could possibly result from deep cuts to these programs.

Please consider the answer might be in bringing jobs back along with worker training programs for these new job openings and consider the above suggestions for entitlement reforms to strengthen these programs rather than to make cuts to these programs.
