ATV Enthusiasts Lament: “We pay taxes too, so we should be able to ride the Trail”

This is a Ridiculous Statement!   We all pay taxes, but that does not give us the right to do whatever we want, when we want, where we want. It also does not give us the right to step on other people’s rights.

Every year the PEI Departments of Transportation and Tourism spends taxpayer money and time to aid ATV Associations in expanding their ATV trails through the woods, on public and private lands, on backroads etc etc.

in 2017. The Evangeline ATV Association got a taxpayer ACOA grant of $29,607.00 to expand their ATV trail system by 47 kilometres. The province of PEI added another taxpayer grant of $11,860.00 for the project. These grants were paid for by PEI and Canadian taxpayers to allow the ATV community to expand their riding system which is exclusive to ATV Enthusiasts. Congratulations! We all need a separate place to ride, cycle, walk or run.
