After quite a strict lockdown, Melbourne now has had 0 cases of COVID-19 for the last 14 days. The time has come to remove mandatory masks for Melbourne. Australia now has no community transmitted cases. Whilst other states don't have to wear masks, Melbournians are STILL required to wear them.
