I was born and raised in Burlington, New Jersey. The police are a part of the city that the community could never be without. They put their lives on the line each time they start their shift and always are relieved when their shift is complete and there were no injuries. The City of Burlington Police Department has a group of citizens that have pride and loyalty. Out of those, Lt. Joe Caruso is a police officer that I remember from my childhood. He was always involved within the community, but in a positive manner. There were children whose fathers were not in their life and Lt. Joe Caruso did everything he could to be that positive male influence for them in order to make them better people. His services are without flaw. He has integrity, honesty, loyalty, and wears the police uniform with pride. He has had several positions within the department such as : SWAT Team head, in charge of the detective bureau, records unity, and evidence. He has also been removed from his office, had his duty vehicle taken away, has limited access with his key, and is no longer involved with command staff meetings and command decisions. THIS IS ONLY SOME OF THE HARASSMENT THAT LT. JOE CARUSO HAS ENDURED SINCE 2013. A MEMBER OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR 29 YEARS, AT ONE TIME HE WAS THE TOP PICK FOR POLICE CHIEF IS NOW PATROLLING THE STREETS AT NIGHT BECAUSE HE WAS STRIPPED OF HIS DUTIES. STOP THE HARASSMENT.     WE WILL NOT GO AWAY. SAY IT LOUD, SAY IT PROUD!!! WE SUPPORT YOU LT. JOE CARUSO.
