Please save a family from Ukraine from council's "politically correct" insane safeguarding
The Issue
I wish to help a Ukrainian family of 3, mum and two boys 11 and 5. I am severely disabled, live alone and have a Pyrenean Mountain Dog(PMD), - excellent burglar deterrent 😊I am declining the governments monthly offer for hosting - so little load on the council and tax payer, educating the children I suppose and mum hoping and expecting to get a job.
My council’s migration department has a safeguarding policy of dogs of any type or breed and children should not reside together! I could understand if they considered breed, temperament etc. but they don’t, it’s any dog. If they had the power parents would not be able to have dogs, and dog owners prevented from having children – I kid you not! Nor are they happy about myself being severely disabled that for my own safety that I have a dog! Fortunately, councils have not been given these powers by the government, in fact before the last general election, Two Tier Kier promised, if elected, his daughter could have a German shepherd puppy. Being a politician though and having won the election he broke the promise to his daughter along with the manifesto, I believe they got a probably unwanted kitten as a “compromise” – sorry I’m one of those people in keeping promises and guarantees, such as the one the UK disguarded in guaranteeing Ukraine’s borders in exchange for it surrendering its nuclear weapons. If we knew we couldn’t keep it we should never have made the guarantee. Gone are the chances of any other nation giving up nuclear weapons it has, in exchange for guarantees!
PMD’s are big and vocal, a giant breed according to Crufts, and a Pastorial guardian(almost the opposite of a guard dog). They will defend their family, or flock of sheep with their lives literally. There are cases in the US where they have attacked alligators in Florida, going for toddlers and are much faster than parents. They don’t normally come off so well - normally being badly injured if they survive and if they do survive extensive work at the vets, but they saved their toddler. Loudest barking drives off wolves and bears in the Pyrenean. Bears and wolves normally seek easier prey than their flock that they blend into, taking on a Pyrenean or a pack of them on, they call each other and one can become a pack itself, and will result in at least injury or death to the attacker, possibly from untreated infection. An expensive meal, hence it takes a starving attacker to take on such -the attackers are not stupid either. PMD’s often defend children against mountain lions/pumas in other states lying peacefully, when they see the attacker moving in on their family – they are truly fearless, Often abandoned, often for being too big or too loving they will look after a lost child during cold night in their warm fur, then in the warmer day find adults and lead them back to the lost child. Often desperate parents will adopt the abandoned PMD their child has become bonded to, so PMD wins too 😊
PMD’S do recognize kids as such, as most dogs do, tolerating almost anything – an adult would be growled at doing the same thing! The two boys are familiar with dogs in the Ukraine too, mum is happy with my having my dog, just not the council who are blocking home approval to the Home Office because I have a dog of any kind, big, small, friendly no matter because they have a policy, which is illogical! That they are stuck in Mykoliav not many miles Kerson and the front line, prone to long range artillery fire, drones, bombs and ballistic missiles. The migration team believe they are somehow safer there than being in a house in the UK with a dog!
The Ukrainians are pulling children’s bodies from rubble nearly every day – I watch the Ukrainian war map every day, hospitals, train stations, tower blocks. Weapons these days are so accurate you can almost say which window you want to hit, so deliberate, Russians know where the hospitals etc. are, maps and satellites tell them. Maybe the council safeguarding team don’t care if the maiming and death occurs outside Bracknell – I do care.
Please email the migration team on migration@bracknell-forest.gov.uk to tell them what you think about their irrational, illogical “politically correct” policy. If we could get it to parliament it could be quite funny to see Two Tier can explain why he agreed to his daughters request for a puppy and right to refuse Ukrainian children the same!
