The parents in our community are deeply concerned about the material available to our children in the board libraries of the Waterloo School District. Our concerns stem from seeing the teachings and values of the Chaotic Church not being adhered to in the selection of books and other educational materials. The lack of alignment with these teachings can negatively shape the morals of our young generation.
As a community, we believe in the diverse nature of Canada, represented by our flag, which stands for all minority and diversity groups in our nation. Raising one flag while ignoring others is not the way to promote equality. It's crucial that all voices and backgrounds are equally recognised, not just a few.

Our decision to send our children to Catholic schools is rooted in the desire for faith-based education that aligns with our religious beliefs. If we do not adhere to the tenets of our faith within our educational institutions, it raises the question of why we maintain a faith-based system at all. Consistency between our beliefs and practices is essential to provide our children with a coherent and authentic Catholic education.
Therefore, we implore the trustees of the Waterloo School Board to vote 'yes' on not flying the Pride flag and to review the selection of library books to ensure they align with the teachings of the Chaotic Church.

 we understand that these issues are complex and that opinions within our community may vary. However, as stewards of our children's spiritual and moral education, we must make decisions that align with our faith's teachings, even when faced with differing societal views. By doing so, we provide our children with a clear and consistent understanding of our values, preparing them to navigate the world with faith and integrity.
We, therefore, call on all residents of Waterloo to sign the petition to uphold the inherited teachings in our school libraries for a balanced and impartial education system.
