Mr. Schatz (Justin Schatz) is one of the best, kindest, and chillest teachers I've ever met, And I know a lot of people who would agree! He leads on both the Junior Concert band and the Junior Jazz band, he teaches Canadian history as well as the music courses, and inspires everyone in class with his intriguing lessons, his humor, and his life experiences! He is SERIOUSLY good at explaining stuff. Things that I didn't really understand in essay writing became second nature due to how well Mr. Schatz explained it. Mr. Schatz is loved by all members of both the Junior Jazz and the Junior Concert band, and is also loved by everyone who had him for history.  His passion for teaching shines through with literally every lesson, and it's clear that he isn't just reading off the screen in a monotone voice. 

Due to Mr. Schatz being here for the first year, there is a chance that he is let go by the school board. To many people's disappointment, as there is no guarantee one of the best teachers will stay next year. If you've had Mr. Schatz in the past, if you work with him at LHSS, or if you just generally want future students to be really, REALLY happy, PLEASE sign this petition. It would be a huge help.
