Petition for Equal Rights and Treatment for All Canadian Citizens, Regardless of Origin

Petition for Equal Rights and Treatment for All Canadian Citizens, Regardless of Origin
The Issue
As a naturalized citizen of Canada, I am deeply concerned about the discrimination I’ve experienced in accessing higher education. I was born in India and became a Canadian citizen later in life. After acquiring my citizenship, I sought to further my education by applying to Canadian universities in order to enhance my knowledge and career prospects.
However, I was shocked to find that, despite being a Canadian citizen, I am required to prove my English language proficiency—something that was already thoroughly evaluated during my immigration process to meet Canadian standards. No other naturalized citizens are asked to undergo this additional requirement, and this has made me realize that I am being unfairly treated based on my race and origin.
It is disheartening to experience this form of discrimination after I have contributed to this country through taxes, voting, and fulfilling my duties as a citizen. As a member of this nation, I deserve the same rights and privileges as any other Canadian citizen, regardless of my country of birth or background.
I am signing this petition to raise my voice against this unfair treatment. We must ensure that all Canadian citizens, whether born in Canada or naturalized, are treated equally in all aspects of life, including education.
I demand justice and equal rights for all naturalized citizens in Canada.
