"A President may not pardon themselves or obstruct Justice through the use of pardons."

The Issue

Show your support for the 28th Amendment Project:

Proposed: AMENDMENT XXVIII:
Section 1. A President may not pardon themselves or obstruct justice through the use of pardons.
Section 2. No presidential pardon shall be granted to a former President by a person who served as their Vice-President.

WE THE PEOPLE have the power to reign in a President who believes he is above the law.

No President should have the power to obstruct an on-going investigation into their own misconduct.

Donald J. Trump should not be allowed to pardon himself or his associates like Paul Manafort, who is accused of conspiring with Russia in committing crimes against America.

No patriotic American should stand silent and allow foreign powers to corrupt America's Democracy.

If you stand for anything, stand up for the truth and express your support for allowing the investigation of Special Prosecutor Robert Swan Mueller III to proceed unobstructed.

Sign and share this petition to redress the abuse of power by President Trump.

His investigation of wrongful conviction cases began in 1988, working with the defense team that freed Rolando Cruz and Alejandro Hernandez from death row. After that case ended, he began the post-conviction investigation that led to the exoneration of death row inmate Randy Steidl, who upon his release in 2004 began advocating for the abolition of the death penalty as a spokesperson for Witness to Innocence. In 2001, Bill founded the Downstate Illinois Innocence Project, and has recently started a new national project called Investigating Innocence, whose mission is to provide investigative support to indigent inmates, lawyers and Innocence Projects.
