Fanshawe Students Need Reading Week

Fanshawe College for the Fall 2021 semester has reduced reading week from a full week off to 2 days during the week of October 4th. This reduction in a break week does not reduce the length of the 15 week semester. Students will no longer be able to fully enjoy time off to spend with friends, family, and catch up on course content. The purpose of this petition is to reinstate a FULL 5 day reading week for the Fall 2021 semester and future semesters. This year has been hard enough on students who working remotely and students need a break to prevent burnout. With your support, we can help give Fanshawe students a much needed break during their semester!

How Can I Help Bring Back Reading Week?

The best way you can help is to sign this petition, email your course coordinator, and share this petition with your classmates and Fanshawe alumni. We need our voices to be heard. We need Fanshawe College to know how passionate we are about having a complete reading week. Please be kind, thoughtful, and respectful in all interactions with students and faculty members.
