I am a fan of the renowned Disney film, "High School Musical," and I believe it will greatly benefit Columbus High School in Nebraska, if it was performed by our young and talented students.

"High School Musical" presents themes of friendship, acceptance, and self-discovery that resonate with teenagers worldwide. It promotes inclusivity as it breaks down high school stereotypes and is a fun, entertaining, and educational way for our student body to express themselves.

Theatre programs have documented benefits. According to the National Association for Music Education, these programs can increase students' self-confidence, improve academics, and foster teamwork[1]. Staging this particular musical at Columbus High School can help our students to hone these essential skills while engaging with material that is relevant and emotionally compelling.

Our plea is to the musical directors and administration board of Columbus High School. We believe in our students' talents and are convinced that staging "High School Musical" would not just entertain us, but teach valuable lessons as well.
