National Trust's Wild Boar Cull

National Trust's Wild Boar Cull
The Issue
The National Trust has plans to cull wild boar, and their argument is that the boar needed to be removed because people felt intimidated by them!!
My argument is, if everytime we felt intimidated by someone, does that mean we are encouraged to kill and remove them? People intimidate others, but we walk away! Only one person in the UK has recently been injured by a boar! Its an immoral and absurd excuse.
The National Trust quotes on their website: "We are a charity and your money goes directly towards keeping places special for ever, for EVERYONE". I am a member of the National Trust, until this came to light, I am a Vegan for the love of animals, their welfare and ethically. They are NOT keeping it special for me or the animals that have to face a barrel inbetween their eyes, they could have looked at alternative methods because the last thing the rare wild boar needs, is to be persecuted and demonised by a body that has previously vowed to try and help wildlife on its land.
Please call an end to the plans of boar cull and instead ask the National Trust to educate visitors and staff about all wildlife in general, their behaviours, characteristics and safety precautions when the public, and its members choose to be in an environment that may have wild animals freely roaming.
Please help sign and share this petition to make a change and educate people and organisations on animal welfare rather than resorting to killing an animal.
Animals and humans; how are we disimilar?
We have eyes that can see and witness the horror before us,
We have noses that sense the dangers near,
We have ears that alert to the sharp sound of a gun being cocked,
We have feelings that arise from fright, naturally cowering as we resort back to our child state,
We have a heart that bleeds and a soul that fractures,
We have the warmth of our blood turn cold and drip from our lifeless forms,
Whether we have a wag of a tail or a smile, our emotions come from the same basic 'survival circuits' in the brain, which are the same in ALL mammals.
