9th December 2016 Where do I start, we have been Petitioning for something like 15 months and it is time for a reappraisal of our position. Although Mrs Brindle has gone, the Chair of Governors and his Deputy have gone and Dr Jon Richardson, Diocesan Director of Education has gone, nothing appears to have changed. Vikki Heath still has not got a reference and there has been no resumption of the pantomime performances. One of our contacts has emailed me the following, ‘Brindle got a ‘promotion’ to Bollin Primary School near Altrincham – where she is known as Louise Brindle!! Why? Who wrote her reference? Do the governors of that school know her history? She is now wreaking havoc on the staff and governors! Teachers union involved to invoke a vote of no confidence!! She is doing her usual it appears – lying and bullying! So which side of Christianity are those in the Diocese following? I have been accused of being vindictive and of personalizing the problem because I have continued pressing our cause even after Mrs Brindle has gone to fresh fields, but as I have already said, nothing has changed! As for personalizing, I was sent a LETTER BEFORE ACTION by Wigan Legal Department (I have been instructed by the Governing Body of Golborne St Thomas’ CE Primary School in relation to comments you have made about several individuals/ bodies connected to the School) who threatened to sue me, and I was threatened with a heavy fine or imprisonment by their solicitor. A number of the people who have helped us had to keep quiet because they had so much to lose through litigation but I am a different animal, I don’t own a house or car, but have just enough money to acquire a really proficient solicitor and I have over whelming witness statements. Additionally, I have spent copious amounts of time, energy and money and still do not know the strength and belief in the Golbornian’s mind in Natural Justice being alive and well in our community – in justice for the individual, although I have overwhelming support throughout our community. Looking back over the last year – what a horrible mess – I will attempt to put it into some kind of perspective:- 1) When Mrs Brindle arrived there were six senior members of St Thomas Church representatives on the School Governors! Why didn’t they get rid of her? Also the PPC and the congregation were not kept informed of proceedings! Why? 2) Why was Dr Jon Richardson Diocesan Director of Education less than honest in his support of Mrs Brindle’s conduct? 3)What makes me suspicious is the following:- a) Mrs Brindle has been given a reference so she can continue working, while Vikki Heath, who I am informed was a competent teaching assistant cannot be issued with one. I am reliably informed that it should not be too difficult to discover who wrote Mrs Brindle’s reference! b) When Mrs Brindle refused to attend a meeting with community and church leaders, why didn’t they demand that she attend? Why? c) When Wigan council provided the necessary funds for the 2016 pantomime to take place, Mrs Brindle refused to provide Rector Reed with the key to the Parish Hall! Why was the key not demanded? Why? Were and are some of our Church, Councillors, and Governors representatives complicit? Some answers would be most appropriate!!! I have sent the Petition to the Diocese with the following outcome:- The crux of the matter is in an email from Nichola James, Executive Assistant to the Bishop of Liverpool – “...that it is not in the Bishops ‘gift’ to be able to do as requested but he has passed your petition to the relevant authority being the Officers in our Education Department. I understand that the Headteacher referred to in you petition left Golborne St Thomas Primary School at the end of August and that there is now an Acting Headteacher at the school. I am assured by Stuart Harrison (Assistant diocesan Director of Education), that every effort is being made at a local level to ensure the traditional use of the hall will not change and that the School, the Church, the Drama Group and other local users will, by mutually beneficial agreement, continue to be able to access the facilities moving forward.” An email sent to me by Stuart Harrison – “Thank you for your email and for the petition you submitted. As you know, the Diocese and in particular the Education Department, has been involved over a significant period of time, in trying to resolve a number of conflicts that has arisen around St Thomas School and Church. I do appreciate your involvement, and that of other interested people locally over the same period, which has highlighted some of the issues. While we recognise that certain situations could have been handled better by certain people, we are also keen to move on and reaffirm the excellent relationship between Church, School and the community of Golborne, that has existed for many years. You will appreciate that Mrs Brindle left the school last term and that and there is now a new Acting Head who has both our full support and that of the local Authority. Reverend Reed is working closely with the school, both as Governor and Vicar, and I am assured by him that great progress has been made already in ‘building bridges’ and working together towards a positive future, I am sure you will see the results of this renewed collaboration as time passes.” My answering email reads – “Dear Mr Harrison, Your reference to ‘building bridges’ is ludicrous. This problem has been ongoing for three years. Long years that that has seen the destruction of the Drama Group, Mrs Walker’s fraudulent loss of her Nursery business, Vikki Heath unable to work and support her little boy because she cannot get a reference, many people ex-staff and parents needing counselling, etc, etc, where has diocesan compassion been hiding these last three years, and appears to be still well hidden! Additionally, as you so kindly remind us Mrs Brindle has received a reference (which we are looking into) allowing her to wreak havoc in yet another primary school, this time near Altrincham! By the way, are you aware that she is now known as Louise and not Michelle? 10th Petition Update will go out week beginning 12th December. Which side of Christianity are those in the Diocese following? Most sincerely, Charles Proctor I think that everyone will agree that I have tried my best and gone much further and longer than anyone expected, including me, but the time has come to stop being a one-man-band. Having collected a huge amount of evidence of wrong doing we must now change direction or the village is going to lose the Parish Hall. The loss will be permanent FOREVER! No more pantomimes, drama, musicals, daffodil teas, fund raising functions, Christmas fairs for the community of Golborne to enjoy and participate in, etc, etc. There is no more I can do on my own; I thought that my last (and best) act might be for them to have taken up the option of suing me, which would have gained us much, needed publicity – but no. Ah, now that would have been taking the adventure! I have been on my own long enough – how do you feel my 732 internet signatories – are you ready to join me and make it your adventure? Please email our MP Andy Burnham, andy.burnham.mp@parliment.uk the subject on the heading of the email is Golborne St Thomas School Petition and just a sentence or two explaining your reason for requesting his assistance, these will hopefully be wide and varied. If this does not work I will be doing something either exceedingly stupid or spectacularly brilliant in my effort to bring in a big hitter in to aid us. A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL! If you feel like a good read this Christmas, please enjoy my three novels below.
