For too long politicians and others in office have been able to lie to and mislead the public and get away with it as there is no recourse or accountability for their actions. This cannot be allowed to continue. A law was passed in this regard recently in Wales, Scotland should do this too and make it totally illegal to deliberately lie to or mislead the public while representing the same public while in office.
