Disable IFC in Dolby Vision IQ mode, Panasonic 2020/21 OLED models

The Issue

Panasonic OLED models from 2020 onwards (prefix HZ/JZ, e.g. JZ1500, HZ2000) come with a Dolby Vision IQ picture mode, which is preset to enable 'Min' Intelligent Frame Creation (IFC) mode. There is no way to disable this.

IFC is an image processing technique that interpolates image frames, resulting in a smoother image.

We petition Panasonic to issue a firmware update that would unlock the 'Intelligent Frame Creation' menu entry, when using the Dolby Vision IQ preset, and allow consumers to disable it.

Why? From the Dolby website, Dolby Vision "provides confidence to content creators that their images are represented on all devices with ultimate consistency". i.e. the purpose of DV is to try and reproduce the cinematographer's original vision as closely as possible. We believe that the use of Intelligent Frame Creation to 'smoothen' an image is not consistent with this mandate. We would like consumers to be given the choice to reproduce the original film motion as closely as possible, if they so wish.

It should be noted that these TVs also have a 'Dolby Vision Dark' mode, and while this does allow disabling IFC, it does not adjust image brightness to match the ambient lighting, as DV IQ does.
