Most of you know that Timmy's Visa to stay in Australia has been cancelled. Our application to change the Minister's decision has been unsuccessful and we are appealing the decision which means it will be heard in an Appeal Court.

The Minister had made a positive decision to return Timmy's Visa due to him having Riki & Nate his sons here in Brisbane and it was in the best interest of Tim's children that they have regular contact with their father.   However, due to Character Testing, Safety of Australian Community and reasons why Timmy should not return to NZ, we did not provide sufficient evidence to support our statements and therefore the Minister's overall decision was Tim's Visa remains cancelled permanently which means Timmy will never be allowed back in Australia.

Since my darling, Timmy's Dad your brother, cousin and uncle Riki passed away we have had our OZ Whanau Sports day every year since, this special event is our time to catch up as a family and have fun. Remember:  Uncle Kevin at Riki's Tangi said it is upsetting that we only get to see each other at funerals.  I mentioned our whanau sports day in our application however without letters to support the statement it didn't add much weight.

Hence the petition, it is easier than writing a reference and saves time.  As a Whanau, please sign and in brackets write (uncle, cousin or aunty etc) and show your support that Timmy should stay in Australia for the following reasons:

1. Riki and Nate need to have regular contact with their dad Timmy

2. Timmy has been living here since 9 years old, Australia is the only country he has known he is now 30 years old.

3. He has a very large Whanau base & Support here in Brisbane

4. Chayanne Tim's ex-partner will be a witness at the Appeal Court in support to have Timmy in Riki & Nate's lives. (Please know Chay is in a defacto relationship with a person who totally supports the ongoing parenting relationship that Chay & Tim have)

Timmy was granted parole earlier this year 2020 after serving nearly 5 years in prison, he is being detained at Villawood Immigration Centre in Sydney.
