The Issue

ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR..

For over two long years, the residents of Sealand Road and surrounding roads in Northern Moor, Wythenshawe, Manchester, UK, have been living in distress due to the continual harassment, verbal, mental and physical abuse from Maxine Westwood, a tenant that lives straight afacing my mums house and next to a junior school. This ongoing torment has culminated in a community living in fear, and at the heart of this issue is an almost 80-year-old lady. Having lived in her home for over five decades, she now finds herself terrified, having been subjected to false accusations, death threats, and even having her address publicly shared on social media. Each day is a new ordeal, with public insults and threats to have her "done over."

Despite multiple reports to the police, housing officers, and the local MP, no protective measures have been adequate in bringing peace back to Sealand Road and surrounding roads. The threats have not only been verbal,  there have been occasions where Maxine has allegedly spat in the faces of others, punched people in the face with eligible witneses present and thrown a hot drink over a local neighbour. These incidents were witnessed by other people and all residents are willing and able to proceed with legal action. This person is further spreading fear and unrest among the otherwise peaceful community members.

The older generation, particularly, have been targeted, with name-calling such as "scumbags" and "benefit fraudsters," leaving them feeling unsafe in their own homes. We stand with tangible evidence of Maxine's deplorable behavior, including recorded statements and eyewitness accounts, which offer an undeniable account of these transgressions.

We call upon the local housing authorities and law enforcement to take immediate action to safeguard vulnerable community members and restore safety to Sealand Road. By executing an eviction order against Maxine Westwood, the community can begin the process of healing and reclaim its peace and unity.

We urge you to support our cause to protect our neighbours and prevent further distress. Please sign this petition to demand the eviction of Maxine Westwood and restore peace and safety to Sealand Road.
