Oppose the proposed £80 monthly parking fee for Meadow Mill residents

Oppose the proposed £80 monthly parking fee for Meadow Mill residents
The Issue
Meadow Mill residents have been informed by property management that parking charges will begin in the very near future and that the proposed fee is £80 per month, per car.
Residents have also been informed that whilst they are being charged this, the car park will remain completely open to the public and without any security (e.g., barriers or fences). Therefore, car insurances will remain extremely high.
Additionally, although residents are being forced to pay £80 - this won’t actually guarantee a parking spot.
Considering Meadow Mill is located in a Greater Manchester borough (not within the city centre) and that the car park will remain public and unsecured - we find it completely immoral that such a price could be charged and demand it should be scrapped.
Residents have come forward with examples of parking charges at their previous residences as a comparison;
- One resident stated they were required to park in an unsecured car park (at their previous address) which was used by non - residents therefore there was no charge for residents.
- Another resident stated they were charged £50 a month for private, secure parking within the city centre of Manchester.
So how can this proposed price be justified?
To add to the above, on New Year's Day, the whole car park was badly flooded resulting in the vast majority of residents vehicles being destroyed and written off. Since then, it has emerged that in the process of building the car park, flood defenses were removed and not replaced - despite people being aware the area can have the potential to flood (although this was never communicated to residents prior to moving in). How can they justify now charging us at all?
Please sign this petition if you agree with the above - thank you in advance.
