I am writing to express deep concern about the proposal to construct an undercover feedlot in Llowalong. This development poses significant risks to our community’s environment, lifestyle, and safety.

Residents fear the constant odour and noise such a facility would generate, replacing the clean rural air our community has valued for generations. No other feedlot in comparison has more than four residences within a 2‑kilometre radius—yet this proposal places sixteen homes within that zone, an unprecedented and unreasonable impact on local families.

The feedlot is expected to process around 12,000 cattle annually. With cattle confined indoors and reliant entirely on grain and fodder, heavy‑vehicle deliveries will be required day and night. This will dramatically increase traffic on our narrow roads, raising the risk of accidents, adding pollution, and accelerating road deterioration.

This development threatens the peaceful lifestyle long cherished by farming families and residents in the area. It prioritises profit over community wellbeing and imposes unnecessary pressures on both people and animals.
